Business Development Manager – Low Cost Carriers – SA and SEA - Amadeus Asia Ltd. (Luar Negeri)

Amadeus Asia is the Regional Headquarters in Asia Pacific located in Bangkok and currently consists of 500 employees in various functions, and we are continuing to expand the office and looking to fill the following position amongst a very enthusiastic team.

Business Development Manager – Low Cost Carriers – SA and SEA
Purpose:

Define and implement Business development strategies through co-ordination with various internal stakeholders for the assigned Low Cost Carriers in South Asia and South East Asia to ensure their entry into business relationship with Amadeus to generate revenue through potential distribution and/or PSS.

Key accountabilities:

Vision & Strategy
  • Define, own, and develop strategies to stimulate participation of LCCs in Amadeus and grow content of Low Cost Carriers in South East Asia and South Asia by utilizing opportunities under Distribution and IT solutions.
  • Analyse customer business drivers, challenges, organization, and decision processes across all aspects of their business that may impact Amadeus
  • Align customer needs with Airline IT & Distribution BU's objectives and develop an acquisition, development and retention strategic plan, by co-ordinating with Account Managers, Market Management and Distribution Sales
  • Formalize and maintain an agressive Sales Pipeline for LCCs in the region, which will cover the list of airlines, targeted volume, addressible market, and potential solutions and estimated timelines.
Customer Excellence
  • Develop a relationship structure between the relevant levels of decision for both Amadeus and Customer organizations by co-ordinating with Account Managers
  • Facilitate and foster this relationship to maximise information flow, influencing, lobbying and customer's satisfaction
  • Advocate customer voice into Amadeus to ensure the best service to customer
  • Participate in various discussions with LCCs in the region, to understand their strategies and ensure constant alignment of our solutions offering, implemented services, and functionalities
  • Align with Account Managers and other Amadeus departments to act on the priorities and objectives to meet account development plan, and to deliver unified responses to customer
  • Monitor quality of product and service delivery to customer, escalate delivery issues, request improvements if needed
Business Development & Budgeting
  • Manage customer P&L, profitability, sales pipeline and bespoke development forecast, and provide annual budget input
  • Identify & develop new business opportunities while maintaining or increasing revenue and profitability
  • Identify customer product and services requirements and give recommendations to Amadeus product departments regarding products and pricing policies
  • Manage directly (for simple sales) or through the sales organization the targeting, sale, negotiation and contracting processes for additional products & services
  • Support and provide guidance to sales, legal and solutions organizations to adapt Amadeus approach to customer and maximize success
  • Approve proposals, response to RFPs, delivery plans proposed by the business units
  • Ensure effective co-ordination and team work with Account Managers, Market Management, Distribution Sales and IT Sales for the development of strategies towards LCCs in the region
  • Ensure that CRM information is updated at all times

Organization
  • Lead a cross-functional group of global Amadeus staff in the delivery of products and services
  • Ensure execution of contract by the respective implementation teams under both Distribution and Airline IT- Collaborate with cross departmental initiatives

Relevant work experience:
  • 8-10 years’ experience in the travel distribution or airline industry.
  • Minimum of 5 years in a Low Cost Carrier environment especially in areas such as Distribution, Channel Management, Commercials, project management, sales, customer support or business development.
  • Good understanding of the economics of the distribution primarily in LCCs & IT businesses and experience in e-commerce direct sales or IT sales highly desirable.
  • Ability to work in a politically complex environment.
