is a leading provider of Offshore Support Vessels to the Indonesian
market. The company employs over 40 shore - based staff, and currently
owns and operates 8 vessels. SGS is also a partner of the Miclyn
Express Offshore Group, a leading provider of Offshore Support Vessels
with a strong presence across South East Asia, the Middle East and
Australia, and headquartered in Singapore.
We are looking for an:
Responsibilities/Tasks :
- Ensure that the vessel under his care is well managed of Classification and Statutory certificates including the registration/sale or flagging the fleets and responsible of the agency appointment including activation of the communication/signals for the operation intended
- All operations are conducted in a professional and safe manner and always keep our client informed of all matters concerning the operations of vessels
- Overall OVID driver and all the audits and focal point with link to all supporting functions such as Technical/HSQE/Crewing
- Ensure that all on/off hire services are organized/attended properly with good communication and documentation include inspection of the hire and/or purchase of the vessels
- To issue sailing instruction to vessel during mobilization, de-mob and whenever required and in charge of all Marine Operations matters including perform as a shipboard Marine Trainer in order to improve on the operational excellent of the vessel
- Liaison with customer on operational matters and vessel performance. Including monitor daily reporting of the vessel, frontline contact and interface with each vessel in the operating area including attending the charterers safety meetings
- Ensuring that the operating contact and charter agreements are maintained and abided by from the company’s perspective and providing a daily interface with customers and other involve parties and monitoring the managed vessel’s activity including vessel utilization
- To liaise closely with P & I and H & M on all claims for company vessels and to follow up with club/risk management on the investigation and claiming
- To have leadership skill for visiting the vessels of inspection/audits with aim to improve vessel condition and crew performance including to take initiative for proper and timely action
- To liase with Supply Chain management, Crewing Department and HSQE department on the day to day operations to achieve operation excellent with proper cost/benefit evaluations are made prior to bringing forward any recommendations
- Travel outstation as and when required
Qualification and Experience :
- Marine Degree, Holder Class I/II Nautical/Technical prefer Ex. Master/ Chief Engineers
- At least 5 years in similar position ( Marine Operation )
- Fluent in English
- Able working under pressure
